THE TORO SIGN

At Tarwater, home of the Toros, all staff members take responsibility for children's character development and academic growth. We take great pride in working together to help children become life-long learners with strong moral character. Our staff is committed to helping all students achieve, and we target students' individual learning styles to best meet the needs of our children.  A caring, family atmosphere welcomes students and parents and creates a safe learning environment. Students and staff are proud to call Tarwater their home, and we warmly welcome you as part of the Toro Family!

LET US KNOW ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE

At Tarwater, the students, staff and parents use this hand sign (pictured above) during the school song. Also used in many classrooms to signal a time to be quiet (students stay quiet, and raise their hand with the Toro sign to show they are listening). Often used by students outside of class (grocery store, etc.) to say “Hi” to their fellow classmates at a distance. It’s very cute to see the bond and connection these students have and the pride they have in their school. Parents are encouraged to use this sign, also. Go Toros!
